The 4th annual Service Learning Day was a huge success. CHS sent 700+ students and chaperones into the community to give back. We did a wide variety of service projects -- cleaning up trash along roadsides, painting a mural at Eastview park, visiting and performing for residents at area nursing homes, landscaping in the parks and for various non-profit organizations, and many other things.

Service Learning Day 2012 is set for Friday, April 27th, 2012.
CHS Service Learning Day is all about giving back to the community that supports us. This year will be our 3rd annual service day. We will send out nearly 800 students and more than 50 staff members into the community to visit nursing homes, beautify our parks, paint murals, and landscape for non-profits among many other chores. At the end of the day, we will give more than 2,000 hours to our community.

We are also in need of donations to help offset the costs associated with this day including gloves, trash bags, medical supplies, etc. In addition, we provide each student with a bright-colored t-shirt to promote safety and unity. All sponsors will have their name printed on the back of the t-shirt.
