Academic Contests in Full Swing

On Friday (2/24), CHS Mock Trial teams will be competing in Regional competition.  For the first time ever, both the Green and White teams advanced to regionals.  Prior to Mock Trial competitions, the teams are given a fictitious case on a current and/or controversial issue.  Students study the case, learn to argue each side, and then assume roles for the trial.  CHS has a strong tradition of excellence in these competitions.  GOOD LUCK to both teams.

Next Wednesday (2/29), CHS will send four groups of students to the TSA TEAMS competition.  This competition is a test of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science, sponsored by the Technology Student Association for which each of the participants has been selected.  Eight of the top students in each grade level compete in this annual competition (formerly known as JETS) that requires teamwork, skill, and brainpower.

GOOD LUCK TO THESE TWO GROUPS and stay tuned for more on the story!
