It was a great day here at CHS.
So, maybe it was a little hot, but it has definitely been even hotter in this building in past years! The staff and students were clearly excited and ready to start this morning. Students here are happy with our new cell phone policy that allows the devices to be used in between classes and at lunch and also opens the door for educational use of cell phones in the classroom per teacher policy. Like so many things we do, this policy and experiment is a work in progress toward what we believe to be a move toward more 21st century skills and mindset.
In addition to an overall good day, we received great news here at CHS early this morning. For the 10th year in a row (and since State Rankings began), Celina High School was ranked Excellent by the Ohio Department of Education. This ranking is the highest honor a high school can receive. We are also part of one of the few districts in the state of Ohio to be ranked Excellent with Distinction. We have a great deal to celebrate and be proud of here in Celina.
